Historic Description

Lieutenants’ Quarters 06, is one of the 110 significant structures that reflect the history of the military reservation. The walls of the building have unique stucco coat imitating buff-colored brick masonry.The 1896 master plan for post -development described line of officers’ quarters along Hartshorne Dr. Built from Quartermaster General’s Office standardized military housing plan-most likely #110 (ca.1896).

Physical Description

2 1/2 story, Georgian-style, L-shape brick structure with an asphalt-shingle gable roof, a front porch, and a single-car garage. Rusticated ashlar granite foundation w/ limestone water table. Windows have 6/6 double-hung sashes and sills w/ hidden steel lintels. Three dormers have triangular & elliptical pediments. Buff-colored brick walls covered with a stucco skin imitating thin mortar joints.
